Do more research. Healthy non-breeding dogs have little to fear from lepto. I nearly lost Tess to the vacc a few years ago. She went and hid in a dark corner of the house; there is no doubt in my mind that she thought she was going to die. She swelled up like a Boxer, drooled like crazy, ran a ridiculous fever, and became lethargic. Scariest night ever. I will never vaccinate for lepto again.
Thanks for the information. I've decided to not give the vaccine. My dogs don't spend time outside alone, and I've never given the vaccine, so why start now?

I don't vax for it anymore. It is one of the most dangerous (along with rabies). I never worry about it.
