MMBC APDT

Fun trial, good runs, and a very good dog.

Saturday we did Level 3. The first course kicked our booty and we NQ'd. A very fun course to run but he didn't take either jump. Lots of speculation, and it's up for discussion, I may post details at a later date and look into it further. Our second run in Level 3 I lowered the jumps to 12" (yay APDT having modifications) and it went smoother, though not entirely better. He still took one jump awkwardly and wouldn't go out to the other, so I had to move with him. Regardless, the rest was very nice and we Q'd with a 183 (5 points on the jump, we only got 6 of the bonus points, so there's 9 already). We had a retry on two stations (6 more points, we're up to 15 hah). Anyways, very happy.

Sunday we worked for our first double qualifying runs, and we got it! Q/207/1st in Level 1 B and Q/203/2nd in Level 2 B. He was VERY good for these runs. Yay Buzz!

I do have a video from our level 2 run that I still need to get off the camera!

If you have APDT in your area, go try it... it is a BLAST! You can actually get out and MOVE. There IS room for heeling!

APDT

Buzz and I entered five runs on Saturday, August 9th (two level 1B and three level 2A) and I was slightly worried he may not make it all day. He showed BEAUTIFULLY!

Level 1B
Q/203/4th (13 ARCH points)
Q/204/4th (14 ARCH points)

Level 2A
Q/199/2nd
Q/205/2nd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjA9iXbYNXQ
Q/203/1st! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfArPpHoVHM

So, we have finally started on the path to our ARCH. He needs 100 points, 30 of which have to come from level 1, 30 from level 2 and the remaining from either. We also need 5 QQs from Level 1B and 2B. APDT comes around in MN again January 31 & February 1!

Been quite a long time...

since I've posted here. School has been crazy busy, as has life.

We had a really great summer (details on NEW website). Bailey finished her RA title in June, CD title in August, and has started RUNNING confidently not only at class, but at AGILITY TRIALS! WAHOO! Breakthrough!

Buzz finished his RL1 (APDT) in August, and got a very memorable RA (AKC) Q in August.

The 29th and 30th of December we'll be at the MMBC NADAC trial. I've got Buzz entered in both regular runs, touch n go, jumpers, and chances on Saturday. Sunday he has tunnelers, jumpers, and chances. Bailey has tunnelers and chances on Sunday too.

I can't wait for Christmas break! ONE more day! WAHOO!
